This project explores a modular, 3D-printable graft designed to transform an almost raw material into a structured object.
The kit takes the brick as a familiar and culturally acquired material, something anyone can obtain, manipulate and reinterpret. It becomes a starting point onto which 3D-printed elements can be added, creating new forms and uses.
The project explores the encounter between a standardized construction material and digital fabrication through a system of modular grafts that transforms existing matter without replacing it.
